Summer....

Summer is wrapping up. It went so quickly. I can't decide whether I am disappointed that the long hot crazy days of summer are almost over, or if I am looking forward to the shorter cooler-and more organized- ones that are ahead?!? I feel like time goes so quickly I can hardly catch my breath, I had a million idea's for things I would do with the girls this summer, afternoons at the library, homemade popsicles, long afternoons in our backyard kiddie pool, whole days at the park.... Some of these I did, others unfortunately passed me by. What can I say, I expected time to go slower? I have noticed when talking to other mother's of small children that they feel life goes by far too quickly also. I figure if this is my biggest complaint then my life is pretty great :)

Edie's mullet fits into curlers! Woo hoo!

John has had a few days off this summer and we have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. He finished his fourth semester of book work/classes for PA school. Now he just as 3 semesters (one Calendar year) of Clinicals and he'll be completely done! (We'll except for the dreaded PANCE exam....)

The Beloved Kiddie pool. Edie prefers stripping down naked and running all over the yard. To each their own.

Clara had Saturday soccer practices at Laird Park. While she practiced Edie and I would play on the swings and slide.

The Fourth of July weekend we went with the Lelises up to the Oakley Rodeo. We went back and stayed at the cabin in Kamas for the rest of the weekend. Here I am with Eden and my sweet neice Eva.

She loves that horse. Hop in the pool, take a dip. Go for a ride on the horse. Repeat.

Here is our "Soccer Monster Princess" as Clara prefers to be called..... Not really sure why?

Edie gave us a lot of grief during those games....

Clara and I before the first game~

Here is Clara at Swim lessons. She did 6 weeks of swim lessons this summer, she loved almost all six weeks. Clara is not a big fan of putting her face in the water. I had to bribe her with sweets....

I spent the time Clara was in her swim lessons chasing my lunatic toddler around and trying to keep her from jumpin in the freakin pool. For someone who took forever to learn to walk she learned how to run very quickly.

We have one week of summer break left before Clara starts back up to pre-school. John begins clinicals at the VA hospital this next Monday also. I'm really hoping his schedule isn't too intense. He was told to plan on 70 hours a week.... I'm hoping to make the most of our last week of freedom!
