Puke Purgatory

The past week has been one wild Roller Coaster. We discovered that John's license and credentialing went through in Washington, and the clinic expects John to start Monday October 3rd. So we decided to hurry and start packing up like crazy. Too bad Clara started puking her guts out.... and then it made its way through our ENTIRE family all the way down to poor little Sam. Good news is we were supposed to speak in Church on Sunday! John and I debated back and forth whether or not to dog out, but we decided since it was our last week at our beloved ward we would just grin and bear it. To add gasoline to the fire- my milk supply has nearly dried up completely, due to the vomiting and not keeping any food or drink down for two days straight. I now have a large mountain of vomit covered laundry and the rest of my home looks like a bomb went off.

But I have to say- I am getting really excited for the big move. My heart is saddened to leave the little home I love. Although we've really only lived here for 4 1/2 years- it has been the best 4 1/2 years of my life. I've brought two of my babies home to this house and it is full of wonderful memories. Even though we are little scared and sad I am looking forward to our new house (fixing it up and all!) and John cannot wait to work at his new Family Practice Clinic. I am so thankful for the spirit in my life- I can't tell you what a wonderful comfort it has been and how much it has lifted us up. I know this is where we are meant to be. Let our adventure begin :)

And wish me luck this week... I am hoping time will go extra slow, as I have about 5 days worth of errands and 5 days worth of packing!

Sam's Blessing

Well we actually blessed Sam the Man July 31st- but I was late getting the pictures up. Here we are!Uncle James, John, and Grandpa Craig Lelis holding Sam, Great Grandpa Leon, Grandpa Brian(Grumpy) and Uncle Parker.

I was not able to fit everyone in the photo that stood in the circle to bless Sam- so I had to do two shots....

We got to use Grandma Walker's empty house that has been renovated. It was SO SO beautiful! I was so thankful we could have such a big comfortable home to have it in. Things would have been way too cramped over at our place!

Grandma Joan ("black Grandma") with Sam

Nichole with Alec and baby Emmett in her belly- who was still cooking at the time.

My studly brother, Sam's Uncle Mitchell. Those are some pretty cute boys!

Our lovely family photo which turned out so beautifully. Thanks children for your darling poses:)

Despite the family photo- This day could not have gone better. John blessed our son surrounded by our friends and family in Grandma Walker's home. We had family, food, friends and the spirit with us. It was a fantastic day. I think it was probably the highlight of my summer. I am very blessed and I am so thankful.
