John's School of Medicine Graduation May 2011

It has obviously been a while since I have blogged. I am bad. We had John's SOM graduation on May 21st. I couldn't have been more proud. He still has one more (roughly) semester of clinical hours left. He still has to complete OBGYN and a round of elective Dermatology. John has been in school every single semester since we got married almost 6 years ago! I can't wait to be onto the NEXT phase! But I am also SO SO thankful for a motivated husband who just got in and got it done. Now onto finding a good job that has loan repayment opportunities.... Not as easy as you might think, but I'll have to vent about that later... Someone should really teach me how to take pictures. Honestly- you'd think with my new camera that I would have gorgeous pictures. Apparently it doesn't cure an awful photographer.

Our little family- I am 33 weeks pregnant in these pictures, so yes- I have pregnant face.

John and his siblings. From left to right, Julia, John, Sarah and James.

And John's parents, who we owe a wonderful thank you to- Seriously they help us out in EVERY way imaginable!!

John will also have a graduation luncheon come August, I am really excited for that too. Then he still has to take his Boards to practice medicine in the United States August 16th. Plus he has to apply for a lisence to prescribe Med's which can take a while. There are plenty of great jobs here in SLC, however we have a TON of student loan debt. (Just books, and tuition came to $76 K plus we took out even more to supplement us to live off of for the past few years.... yikes!). So John is looking for an NHS job. These jobs are for healthcare providers that are often located in places where there is great medical need- basically because NO ONE else wants to live there! They pay back $60k of your student loan debt, tax and interest free, plus they often pay slightly better than other jobs. We are still in limbo deciding what to do, as neither of us wants to move, however we don't want to be slaves to student loan debt forever either! It stresses me out greatly! I think it especially bothers me as we will have a new baby joining us in only 5 short weeks! We have gone to the temple and prayed, but now were down to just waiting and hoping a good job in a fairly decent place will come available!

One last picture of the crazy group:)
