Shamoo Massacre

Clara is OBSESSED with fluff. She is an addict and she'll get it anywhere she can.
She loves to rub it against her face and hide it in random places around our house. She'll unzip the couch cushions to get to it, rip a hole in a pillow and even reach down her beloved whales mouth and rip its guts out. John went in her room to tell her to go to sleep for the millionth time the other night and discovered this crime scene.

Halloween Festivities!

Oops, none of these pictures are in the right order.... Does anyone know how I can rearrange them after I have uploaded them? We'll the top left is Clara with Grandpa Craig on halloween. The look on her face was so cute I couldn't resist posting it. The picture next to it is Maggie- clearly miserable. (but cute!) And then there's Clara on our porch at the beginning of the night before we headed out to trunk or treat or Grandparents. The last picure below is Clara a week before halloween at the hogle zoo's "Boo at the Zoo". Which was a blast and even John and I had some fun.

Daddy Daughter Time.....

One of Clara's favorite activities is when she can scoop doggie poo with John in the backyard. As soon as she hears our back door open she comes running screaming "scoop poo poo's daddy!!"

As you can see here in the second picture, Clara sometimes heads out on her own in hunt of poo.
My apologies if this is an inappropriate thing to blog about- sometimes I have a hard time deciphering whats only cute to a mother...

At Clara's birthday dinner Grandma Joan gave her Bitty Baby a whole lot of accessories and the Bitty Baby crib was one of them. The next morning I came in and discovered that Clara also liked Bitty's crib. We explained to her it was meant for Bitty and she reluctantly climbed out, I am very curious if she actually slept in it and for how long? Looks like a long and uncomfortable night to me!

Clara's Birthday!! (two months ago...)

So I realize just how late I am on this post. It has almost been two month's time since her birthday- but better late than never!

Our little Clara was born on September 9, 2006, at 7:08 pm, She weighed in at 5 lbs 14 oz. and was 18 inches long and was a very sweet baby. She is two now- and one crazy toddler. She LOVES Pooh Bear and looks forward to the chocolate milk sippy cup she gets each night at bedtime. She absolutely adores reading "stories" and is best friends with our dog Maggie. She is a chatter box now and will talk to anyone who will listen, she also really enjoys singing, especially church hymns- it doesn't matter that she doesn't know the words because she makes them up!! Clara loves to pray and will remind us at every meal and bedtime if we forget. She has been a joy since we took her home from the hospital and we are very excited to have another year with our sweet angel.

ITS A GIRL!!

Well only 4 out of 13 of you guessed it, but John and I were thrilled to discover we are expecting another little girl! For some reason or another I was thinking it would be a boy (although John and I both had admitted to secretly hoping for another little girl) But we really just want a healthy baby. Now onto figuring out another little girls name!!

BABY #2

I thought it would be a good time to anounce that we are expecting another bundle of joy! We are very excited. Our official due date is now March 11. I am only about 14-15 weeks pregnant, but already showing, I guess just one of the joys of a second pregnancy :)

Cabin

A couple of weeks ago John and I decided to take a trip up to his parents cabin in Kamas. We had a great time up there and we were very sad when it was time to head back down to Salt Lake. This is Clara just knockin back some O.J. with calcium.

There is only a shower at the cabin so Clara took her bath in the kitchen sink.

Clara was happy to lead us on a little nature walk the last morning we were there.

The Sleepover

Every year my family comes up from Texas for the month of July. For the past couple years my little brothers have come and had a sleepover at my house. We (I) make cookies and we stay up late watching the Harry Potter movies. This year Clara woke up at six a.m. and came running out into the living room and woke them all up. They were very patient and sweet and watched Pooh Bear with Clara while I made us all some breakfeast. What sweet uncles!

AAAAUGGHH!!!

I was just sitting there reading a book on the back steps while Clara played in the backyard with Maggie, when I looked up and she had climbed the freakin fence! I screamed, thankfully it didn't startle her enough that she let go!

Best of Friends

Most mornings this summer, as soon as Clara wakes up she asks to go "Ousside?". Of course Maggie follows her. They often cuddle and bask in the sun while I make breakfeast. They are very cute together and I believe Maggie is probably the most patient dog EVER because Clara is still learning how to be gentle....

LAWN CARE

So I realize that it has been a really long time since our last post. I am really impressed by those of you who keep up your blogs so nicely and post every week. If my computer will cooperate tonight (which is not likely) I hope to post enough to catch up for the last couple months.

Sometime in Late May/Early June, John got out the lawn mower to give the lawn a much needed trim, Clara got so excited she started screaming and she ran and hopped on the mower. Made for some cute pictures! (I promise the motor is not running).
