Way back in July our kitchen was in middle of remodeling and we really just couldn't take it anymore. So we decided to leave for the weekend. We went 5 weeks without a kitchen sink of counters. It was a dark and horrific time. But the bright spot was this little weekend trip to Seaside, Astoria and Cannon Beach. It was also on our anniversary- so it made it a little extra special.
It seems like we drove FOREVER the first day, but when we finally saw water, it was SO worth it!
Maggie accompanies us on all our trips. We got lucky to find a dog friendly beach and a hotel. She got to sleep on our bed with us... as usual.
Haystack Rock, we went and checked out the tide pools.
John even unloaded most of the car for me after the trip. Pretty awesome anniversary gift!!
